Pregnancy-Related Pelvic Health Conditions

Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP)

Also known as symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD), characterized by pain in the pelvic area, lower back, hips, and thighs.

Round Ligament Pain

Sharp, shooting pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen due to stretching of the round ligaments that support the uterus.

Diastasis Recti

Separation of the abdominal muscles along the linea alba, commonly occurring during pregnancy and causing a bulge or "pooch" in the midsection.

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)

Chronic pelvic pain during pregnancy caused by increased blood flow and pressure on pelvic veins.

Varicose Veins

Enlarged, swollen veins in the legs or pelvic area due to increased pressure on the circulatory system during pregnancy.

Urinary Incontinence

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) or urge urinary incontinence (UUI) may occur due to pressure on the bladder from the growing uterus.

Hemorrhoids

Swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum or anus, often resulting from increased pelvic pressure and constipation during pregnancy.
